Between 1988-91, Nike released a series of of ads featuring Michael Jordan and sidekick Mars Blackmon, first played by Spike Lee in 1986's movie "She's Gota Have it". The iconic commercials immortalised Mars Blackmon and undoubtedly introduced the Jordan line to the urban/pop culture, laying the foundation for the sneaker scene we know and live today.
